GPD - a quarter century in the service of glass industry

The Glass Performance Days concept was created based on the vision that glass industry can cooperate in order to maximize its performance in education, design, production, sales and marketing; as weil as spearhead new opportunities in using glass for the promotion of energy efficiency and applications in the production of solar energy. Information sharing and cooperation are powerful tools to bring out the best competitive drive of glass against competing materials.

This vision has withstood the test of 25 years as the GPD gears up for its 25 year Anniversary Conference in 2017. The event has successfully renewed itself over the years and emphasized the significance of networking and easy expert-to-expert contacts. ln 2017 the GPD is expected to attract over 800 visitors from over 60 countries. Such numbers make it the leading Conference of its kind in the world and the hub of the international glass industry's decision makers, i.e. machine manufacturers, glass processors, material suppliers, architects, structural designers, facade builders, furnishing experts, specialists on solar glazing technology as weil as universities and general business management.

Expanding the use of glass requires that the entire supply chain has up-to-date knowledge of new technology and state-of-the-art processes. ln this way the links of the sourcing chain can work effectively together and ensure that the right solutions find the right applications for the benefit of both the industry and end-users.
