Since more than 75 years J. Schneider delivers customer-specified and standard power supplies all over the world. 320 employees are working in the three different divisions "Transformers", "Service Center Electrical Drives" and "High Voltage Power Supplies/UPS". ln the high voltage power supply-division J. Schneider especially designs and manufactures power supplies for the high voltage and vacuum process equipment in the output power range 1 kW-120kW with output voltages 400V-170kV. The high voltage power supplies which are used for ion and electron beam applications, x-ray, laser and high voltage plasma processes work with high reliability and robustness. Especially for plasma processes, J. Schneider offers three different device models within this new generation of water-cooled power supplies. The series is characterized by an extremely low stored output energy, a sophisticated flexible adjustable arc management and high power density. The power supplies are available with output power of 5kW, 1 OkW, 12kW or 20kW, 40 and 60KW upon request and can be connected in parallel to increase output power to 120kW. They are ideal for vacuum coating processes of fine optical glasses, solar cells, architectural glass, semiconductors, flat panel displays, data storage or tribological-, hard- and decorative-coatings. Three devices are available: The PLASMATEC DC provides a pure DC voltage or a unipolar pulsed output voltage in the range of 400-800V.

  • The PLASMATEC AC provides a bipolar DC voltage of 450-2800V.
  • The PLASMATEC, which is extremely flexible adjustable, and capable all operating modes of a pure DC operation via an unipolar pulsed operation up to bipolar pulsed operation, virtually combines all functions in one device.
